Free Food GroupMe and Other Communication Platforms
GroupMes and Discords abound at GW Law for purposes of bringing together Inn-mates or announcing where the latest free food is located. Find or add to our list of school-wide communication platforms here.

Free News Subscriptions
Staying informed is crucial, and GW makes that easy by offering full online access to The New York Times, The Washington Post, and The Wall Street Journal. Whether for coursework or personal interest, students and faculty can keep up with current events without hitting a paywall.

Microsoft Office
All current students, faculty, and staff can get a free subscription to Microsoft Office Professional Plus 365, which includes access to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Safe and Secure: GW Safe Ride & Guardian App
With GW Safe Ride, students can request a free ride to and from campus residence halls and academic buildings between 7 p.m. and 4 a.m. The GW Guardian app adds another layer of security, offering features like a Safety Timer to notify friends or family about travel plans.

Transportation and Other Perks
GW’s partnership with Lyft and Capital Bikeshare offers discounts for transportation. The ibuy+ platform provides discounted rates on rentals, flights, and hotels.

Free Printing at CREATE Digital Studio (Gelman Library)

Large-Format Printing: Free printing for research posters (up to 42″ wide) is available for students and faculty. Printing is first-come, first-served, with a turnaround of 1-2 business days.

3-D Printing: The studio offers two FDM 3-D printers (max size: 6.9″ x 6.9″ x 6.9″). For questions, email create@gwu.edu

Audiovisual Equipment Checkout (Gelman Library)
GW students, faculty, and staff can check out a range of A/V production equipment. Reserve online, and CREATE Digital Studio staff will arrange pickup. Some equipment is studio-only.

  • Microphones: Olympus Voice Recorder, Rode VideoMic Pro, Yeti Nano, Zoom H4n

LinkedIn Learning
Access to LinkedIn Learning is available to the GW community at no cost. You can access dozens of regularly updated online courses in design, leadership, multimedia tools, and common software applications. Just log in with your GW UserID.

Video Conferencing Tools
Webex is available to all GW students, faculty, and staff for multi-point video conferencing. Additionally, Zoom accounts provide enhanced features, including high-definition video and a meeting capacity of 300 attendees.

Adobe Express
All GW students, faculty, and staff have free access to Adobe Express Premium, a powerful tool for creating graphics and videos.

Statistical Analysis Software
The Instructional Technology Lab (ITL) distributes Statistical Analysis System (SAS) software for academic and research purposes. Request a copy via the online license agreement form.

Backup and Storage Management
GW IT offers access to GW Box and Google Drive for backup, storage, and document management.

RefWorks
RefWorks is an online research management tool designed to help researchers easily gather, manage, store, and share information, as well as generate citations and bibliographies.

Television and Streaming
GW students can access Xfinity on Campus, HBO Go, and MAX Go for entertainment options.

TimelyCare: 24/7 Health Support
