As the academic year comes to a close, the Nota Bene Editorial Board seeks to recognize those who have contributed significantly to the GW Law community. Any member of the law school community may submit brief nominations for any of the awards using this form until Apr. 10 at 5 p.m.

Two capstone awards recognize those who have gone above and beyond in their contributions to the law school. The Amicus Curiae Crimson Gavel is the highest honor and recognizes one member of the law school community who has made a lasting and significant impact on the law school community over their tenure at GW Law. The Bobby Walis Pillar of Justice Award recognizes one law student who has engaged in extraordinary advocacy in behalf of the law school student body.

Four community awards recognize outstanding members of our law school community for what they have done over the past year. These include Faculty, Administrator, Staff Member, and Event of the Year awards. An additional four news awards specifically recognize those contributions to the Nota Bene over the past year. These include Story, Contributor, Editor, and Humorous Piece of the Year awards.

The Nota Bene awards — “Nobies” for short — will be conferred at an awards ceremony to be held in early May.
