Welcome to the Nota Bene, your go-to source for all things GW Law. Whether you’re looking to stay updated on the latest news, seek inspiration for action and change, or simply find an outlet for your voice, Nota Bene is here for you.
The Nota Bene has a rich history at GW Law, serving as a cornerstone of our community and a reflection of the intellectual vibrancy that defines our school. The Nota Bene was founded in 1952 as the Amicus Curiae, and for decades, it has provided a platform where students could share their insights, report on critical issues, and satisfy their non-legal writing itch. However, among other things, the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic forced it into a hiatus. Now, we are thrilled to bring it back.
We will be building on the Nota Bene legacy by adapting it to the digital age and the needs and interests of our current student body. We aim to provide you with relevant, thought-provoking content that not only keeps you informed but also empowers you to take action.
As we bring new life to this publication, we’re excited about the possibilities ahead. But, for Nota Bene to truly thrive, we need you. We encourage you not only to read our work, but also to take an active role in shaping this publication. Whether you have an article idea, a personal story to share, a desire to edit others’ work, or an artistic hobby related to media, there’s a place for you here. Your involvement will help ensure that Nota Bene remains a true reflection of our student body. To contribute to or edit for the Nota Bene, sign up here.
We aim to make Nota Bene a vital part of our law school experience again — a publication that informs, inspires, and unites us in our shared pursuit of justice and knowledge.
Happy reading, and welcome aboard this exciting journey!
